Flyers Bunny Basket

Brian came home from school with his bunny basket that he decorated. Do you think he has sports on the brain? I thought he did a great job!

Dog vs. Trash Bag

This is what happens when you clean out your fridge, leave the trash bag on the kitchen floor, forget to close the gate to kitchen, and have a mischievous dog. Fun stuff! At least the dog didn't get sick all over the living room carpet this time!

Happy Easter 2009!

They boys gave me the best Easter gift - they slept until almost 9 am!!! Justin slept until almost 9:45! They came running down the steps and dove right into their Easter baskets. Head first! Mouths open! They all got books too. They usually get toothbrushes to go with the candy, but I guess the Bunny forgot this year!

Spud Bunny

This lovely specimen was found behind our trash can! In the kitchen, our trash can is in a cabinet and it slides in and out on runners. Well, all kinds of stuff falls behind the trash can - especially when it is overfilled. But it must be the kids who do that - not me. Just ask my husband, he can tell you! I showed the potato to Sean and he told me it looks like a bunny! I guess he has Easter on his brain! Or maybe just Easter candy!

It is not the worst thing I have found behind the trash can, but definitely one of the most interesting. I won't bore you with pictures of moldy apple cores or PB&J that has turned 20 colors!

Dying Eggs - and kids!

The dying of the Easter Eggs is always full of fun - and color!!! The boys did pretty well this year, and only spilled one of the cups of dye! I think there are only a few red spots left on the kitchen floor. They should wear off by next Easter! Sean was the most impatient, I think he dyed more eggs than anyone because he basically dipped them in, counted to about 5, and then wanted a new egg! Brian did a great job and his colors were the brightest because he took his time. Brian also liked to make some eggs half of one color and half another color! Justin threw a few eggs, spilled a lot of dye, and even kept trying to drink the dye! Yuck!

Oh, that reminds me of a great story. I guess it had to be about 8-9 years ago. All of the grand kids were dying eggs together, so with about 23 kids around a table it was total chaos! One of the younger kids was apparently having trouble being heard when he needed a new egg. So, he took it upon himself to get noticed. He shouted, "Give me a f***ing egg, now!" Well, let me tell you all of the adults and kids froze and just stared at him. A second later about ten eggs appeared in front of him in outstretched hands. I still laugh about this all the time, I guess he was about 5 at the time. And yes, he has older siblings that probably got in trouble for teaching him that nice word - and how to use it correctly!

Droopy Drawers!

Justin likes to pull his pants up and down during the course of a day. Sometimes he has trouble getting them back up, so he just takes them off. And sometimes he can only get them part way up, and they get stuck on a full diaper! He doesn't seem to mind the low rider pants or the droopy diaper!
