A Few of My Favorite Faces

I don't think any words are really needed. Here are a few great pictures of the boys - oddly enough all captured on the same night! That never happens!

Lollipops, Bottles, and Sticky Hands!

Justin had an all-out sugar fest tonight! He started off with a chocolate donut. I think more chocolate made it onto his face than into his mouth! Then he found a lollipop from somewhere and comes walking into the living room with it in his mouth! He asks for lollipops at least twenty times a day! Then Brian got him his bottle. As he was drinking it, I noticed how disgusting his hands were. They were so sticky from the lollipop and had collected all kinds of fuzz and carpet fiber and dog hair - gross! So, before I cleaned him up, I had to take a few pictures!

Straight to His Belly!

I know there is a saying about sweets going straight to your hips, well in this case the donut literally went straight to Sean's belly. He was so funny, he had already eaten dinner and one donut and really wanted a second. I think he was resting on his belly until he was not so full! Then he asked me to take his picture with his donut - I wasn't going to at first. Then I decided to get up and get the camera - and I am so glad that I did. The pictures turned out so cute!!! Photo Contest!

The blog 5 Minutes for Mom is having a photo contest! The subject is fun with food and the picture just has to have something to do with food. I had a hard time choosing but went with this one of Sean! I think he could eat a dozen donuts in one sitting if I let him! His favorites are glazed and chocolate frosted with jimmies - and they have to be from DD!

The contest ends this Friday, Nov. 14th, 3 pm EST, so hurry to enter! Oh and the prize is $500 in groceries to a supermarket near you!!!

Another Winning Weekend

Ravens beat the Texans 41-13! Joe was 15/23 for 185 yards, with two touch down passes! The Ravens are now 6-3, a great record, especially with a rookie quarterback! I think I forgot to mention the Joe won Rookie of the week for his great game on Oct. 26th! It is so neat to watch him and see him succeed!

Brian had a great game this weekend! They won 5-1, even though Brian didn't score a goal he had a few assists and did have a shot or two on goal! Brian got to play goal for the first half of the game. I am so impressed with the whole team - they have come so far since August. They now resemble a real soccer team with passing and positions instead of a one-man show!

Visiting Dad at Work!

One of the boys' most favorite things to do is to visit their Dad at the golf course. His work is more like a playground to them - golf carts to ride, sand traps to play in, golf balls to hit, geese to chase, ponds to throw rocks in, deer to spot, wild turkeys to run from, and on and on. Today's visit was cut a little short by rain, but it was still a hit! They boys decided to stay with Dad for the day and Justin came home with me to take a nap! With all the rain, Sean was glad he packed his Playstation!

Night Ball!

What could be more fun than a little basketball in the dark! Brian had fun hanging around on the rim - with his Dad's help! He loves to dunk the ball too - again with his Dad's help! And if you know Brian then you know that there was no basketball to be played until he had on his Wade #3 jersey! The boys had a great time. We kept trying to let Justin dunk the ball, but he was releasing the ball too soon. Brian would hand him the ball and then as soon as he started to pick him up, Justin threw the ball. He let go of it so quickly that I couldn't even get a picture of the ball in his hands! Sean was not much into basketball. He did take a few shots but with his newly acquired fear of heights, he was not about to hang on the rim! So, he did his own thing and played with sidewalk chalk!

Dream a Little Dream

I have to say I used to watch One Tree Hill all the time. But the last few seasons have found me a bit tuned out. I don't think it is the same show anymore. I much preferred the innocence of high school break-ups to the trials of real life - jobs and kids, - and psycho stalkers! Anyway, I was watching a re-run on the WB one day and jotted down the following from the end of a show. I watched it first and then hit rewind and copied it down correctly.

"Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want. Everything you want."

"Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true."

"You never know where the next miracle is going to come from. The next smile. The next wish come true."

"But if you believe that it's right around the corner, and you open your heart, and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it. You just might get the thing you're wishing for."

"The world is full of magic. You just have to believe in it. So, make your wish. Do you have it? Good. Now believe in it. With all of your heart."

I really like this, and re-read it frequently. Dreams can never come true if no one ever dreams!
