Last Day of May

I cannot believe that tomorrow will bring the month of June. I really thought we would have had our referral call by now and even be a few weeks into the wait for our travel call. I know there is not much that I can do but wait, but this waiting thing is sure getting old quick!

I guess it doesn't help that June also means the school year is coming to a close....I cannot believe I will have a 3rd grader next September!!!!

Surfin' the Web

Brian and Sean are showing an increased interest in the computer lately. And that means that so is Justin! They love to go on the websites of their favorite sports teams, the Lego website and some website about penguins. They were all actually sitting and getting along today - usually there is much more fighting over computer time! I have to say I think they were on a Lego page today - I was clued in by the rock monsters arranged near the computer.

More Flowers!

I planted a bunch of wildflower seeds last summer and the flowers were so pretty! I was so happy this year that the garden was once again filled with beautiful flowers! I have no idea what the names of the flowers are though....

Birds and Donuts

Sean left a donut outside yesterday, and this morning I noticed some diners had arrived. The boys and I sat and looked out the kitchen window and watched the birds feast on the stale donut. The most frequent visitor was the female cardinal, the sparrows came in at a close second!

Sean and Justin

Sean and Justin have a completely different relationship than Brian and Justin. They fight more and definitely know how to push each other's buttons. They don't like to share with each other at all. A lot of times, Sean plays too rough with Justin and he also gets angry at Justin for touching his things. He has no patience for him, nor does he care about getting any! But they do have their touching moments, it is not all bad!

Justin does like Sean and, like most people, he thinks he is very funny. But he competes more with Sean and he never wants to just sit and cuddle like he does with Brian. It is neat to see just how different each of their personalities are, and how there are so many levels to their relationships when you mix and match the different personalities.

Justin Outside

One of Justin's favorite things to do is to play outside. He would stay out all day if I let him! He can now open the front screen door, so I have to be extra careful about keeping the door shut or locking the screen! I think this is a trick that he learned from his older brothers. At least I had two kids that stayed in the house!

Box O' Donuts

Brian and Sean got Justin out of his crib this morning while I was in the shower. I came downstairs to find the older boys in the basement playing. They left Justin upstairs by himself. Justin decided to help himself to some breakfast. A breakfast that consisted of a whole box of donuts!!! At least he was entertained by the TV and didn't make too much of a mess, or eat too many!

LEGOS

Justin LOVES Legos! I think his interest is peaked because most of the time they are forbidden! Today, the boys were feeling generous and decided to let him play. He loves the Lego men and calls them "guys." For only being two, he is pretty careful with the legos....but accidents do happen!

Brian and Justin

Brian and Justin have such a neat relationship. Brian and Sean were about 2 1/2 years apart, so Brian was so young when Sean was born. Brian and Justin are a little over 6 years apart and have such a wonderful relationship. Brian is so patient with him and willing to teach him new things. He takes the time to read him books and to play cars with him. And they also make time for wrestling!

Justin adores Brian and really looks up to him. He tries to do everything that Brian does and sometimes I think that he has no idea that he is two and not eight! He laughs at everything that Brian does and then tries to imitate him! Which is not always a good thing....

Hair Cuts!!!!

They boys all got much needed hair cuts today! I bought clippers when Brian was little and we have more than made our money back!!! Good thing they all like crew cuts!!!! I think that their before and after pictures show a dramatic change! They all look great!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Happy 37 year old to me!!! Wow, I am really closing in on 40 now! (ha, ha, ha) I had a great day and really good hamburger for dinner! A hamburger with cheese, fried onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and mayo! Yum!

Crazy Hair Day!

Sean had crazy hair day today at school! We got some gel and spiked all of his hair! He is such a good sport! Brian would never go to school with crazy hair!!! It is funny how he thinks this is crazy hair, it seems a bit tame next to some of the local teenage styles I have seen!

Double Cheekin'

Justin has perfected the art of double cheekin'! And at times he has attempted a triple, but that stunt produces more drool than he can handle at one time! He sure does love lollipops!!!!

Visting the Nova Care Complex...Again!

The boys and their friend N, got to skip school - for the morning - and go on a tour of the Nova Care Complex! Of course, they had a great time and got to meet a lot of the players! Some even took the time to pose for a picture!
