Two by Two

Big news around here today! Justin took two steps! It was so bittersweet for me. I want him to grow and learn new things, but at the same time I want him to remain a baby forever! He was so proud of himself! He was playing with a toy and standing at the ottoman. Our dog jumped up onto the couch for a nap. Well, no one is allowed to nap when Justin is around! He reached out with one hand for the couch and tried to grab on. He wanted to cruise over there and wake up the dog by poking his fingers in his nose and eyes. What a fun way to be awakened!

His arms were not long enough to reach. After he tried a few times, he let go of the ottoman and stood alone balancing himself. All of a sudden he picked up one foot and then the other. He took two steps and then face planted into the couch cushions. He smiled and laughed. He did look back to make sure that I was watching. I scooped him up, gave him a big hug, and told him what a great job he did! He liked this for about ten seconds until he was wiggling to get back down to torture the dog! Poor Roc, can't even enjoy a good afternoon nap anymore. Sorry to say I have no sympathy for him!
