To the Bay!

We were invited by friends to the beach today! I thought about not going since Brian had to work, but the weather was so nice that I decided to brave it alone! The house was right on the bay and there was a small beach right around the corner!

Brian and Sean never did make it all the way into the bay to go swimming. There were crab traps hanging from the dock and even thought there were no crabs in them, they were still afraid. I think they have been watching too many Deadliest Catch episodes!

Justin had no fear and when we went to the beach he walked straight into the water. He was knocked off balance and drank a little water, but he didn't seem to mind! He sat in the fifty-something degree water and splashed his little heart out!

It was a great day and we didn't get home until after 10:00 pm! The boys talked about the great day for a whole eight minutes until they fell asleep for the rest of the hour home. It was a very quiet and peaceful ride home!

It looks like all of you had a ton of fun at the beach, even if your older boys were afraid to get in the water. The water was so cold where we were that no one went in, though a ton of people laid out on the beach, basking in the sun.

Thanks for the comment on my blog!

Awe they are SOO cute!!! What fun! I want to be playing in the water.

Hey thanks for your comment today! I am soo excited for you about your adotion plans. So fun! 3 weeks in, so have you filled out the application forms and stuff? We are 6 months into the process. It is a lot faster to adopt through the foster system, then internationally, so that is why we are so close to being done. But I think in total it will be close to a year when our children come to live with us. We were told by Christmas we would be matched, and we started the process last Nov! I am glad you liked the blurb I had re: adoption, I am LOVING that book and just wanted to share with everyone!

Thanks again!

Returning the NCLM favour - is it weird that I look at posts such as this one and think, "Ahh...you gotta love how much this kind of thing wears the kids out!" ? I know how much I plan activities around how tired they will make my daughter, so it seems I'm now transferring this to other people as well.

Hmm...

I haven't been to the beach in ages! My mom is from Maine and we use to go down to the pier to pick out our own crabs or lobster, just off the boat!

Looks like so much fun!

Thanks for your kind comments on my blog. :0)
