Pretty Lights

Justin just loves the Christmas tree. So many lights and ornaments to pull off and chew on. Luckily we had the tree secured. We tie it to the two windows it is between by putting a nail in the top of the woodwork and then using string to tie the tree to the nail. We did learn something from Brian's first Christmas when he decided to start walking the day after we put our tree up! What great timing kids have.

He sat and stared for a long time at all the lights. He did try to eat a few, but we managed to get to him before the electricity made his hair permanently frizzy! I loved watching him explore and the wonder in his eyes as he discovered new things. He did like the lights the best, be he was also fascinated with the feel of the tree branches and the colors of all the different ornaments.

I wonder if he found it funny to see a tree in the house. We put him down for a nap and when he woke up there was a tree where his swing and exersaucer used to be. He is always studying things so intently - especially new things. I would love to know what he is thinking. It must be so neat to be amazed by things that are commonplace for use. Things like paper and stickers and spoons just make his arms and legs go crazy with excitement! Too bad I cannot remember being a baby. I bet I would have some really great memories.

ooooh, what is this?
